the truth about the truth about cats and dogs i saw the truth about cats and dogs tonight along with a speaker, the producer, that drexel had invited. i loved the movie, it had me captured the whole way. Despite being a somewhat trite story, the actors bring new meaning and depth to it and manage to bring the good message that most trite things carry straight to you. janeane garofalo is simply awesome. however, once the lights come up, i wonder, as always, whether there is romance like that anywhere in real life. sure i love the theme of not-so-pretty girl has great guy fall in love with her just for who she is (we'll just skip the fact that janeane is really quite striking and sexy in her own way) but is it really the way things happen in life? i know everything isn't always roses, but is there even the smallest possibility in something like that happening or am i just setting myself up for disappointment down the line? don't give me that line about how you don't need a man and you can't force love, yada yada, ad infinitum. i know that. i have no intention of doing so. but i would dearly love to know that somewhere, sometime, a little piece of happiness will find me.
